Garden Boss

Buy Painting Here
So if you’ve been following my art for anytime, you may be thinking this latest series is quite different.  Well true in a sense but it is rather I’m more revisiting an old style!  When I lived in Canada I painted flowers
In a very colorful and simple way.  So lately I’ve been thinking of how I can interpret and paint my current surroundings in a bright and happy way.  So it’s taken me a while and finally I’ve begun playing with paint and prickly desert scape.  I hope to add a gentler touch to an old southwest theme.  We will keep the cowboys out it.  Anyhow, hope you have a happy time painting whatever currently is inspiring you!  Let me know how you discover new inspiration?? Thanks for reading,
Krista

You Surround Me

12”x12” oil on 3/4” canvas

"You Surround Me”

Love the season of fall and the colors of fall leaves.  I worked thin to thick with the paint on this.  Had fun layering fall colors, and then of course my favorite birdie!

Painted this on a professional canvas.

Hope you enjoy!

Peaceful

Painting in a more contemporary style, but keeping with my classic training with light and shadow in mind.  I just love the feeling peonies give me that's why I named this painting peaceful.  I am going to work on larger ones next.  Feeling happy with how this one turned out!  To purchase this painting click the link below:

You are never too old...

"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream another dream."  C.S. Lewis

I am glad I tried painting sandpiper.  Sometimes us painters get in rut and we don't know what to paint.  Who knows why it happens.  I feel taking on something new; whether its in the subject of what we paint or medium, or whatever, that can help get us out of the rut.
So I'm glad I tried something new and I hope you try it to and are pleasantly surprised!

Lady & Lilies

No matter what kind of day I may be having or how distracted I may get with the busyness of daily life I am always stopped in my tracks when I see the hummingbirds flying by the kitchen window.   I was reading about these birds the other day and here was an interesting fact the hummingbird takes 150 breaths per minute while resting!  I'm glad I don't have to take that many breaths per minute while painting it would make it difficult I think I'd take up abstract art.
Well I hope everyone finds some rest this weekend and can take a big breath of fresh air!
Happy Painting!
