Hydrangeas with Blue & White

I painted this still life to day from some things one of my art teachers gave me.  The blue teapot, and the blue and white bowl.  I love the different color combinations it is a more complex piece but I felt in the mood for it!

I used a cradled wood canvas, made in the USA.  Well, gotta pack lunches for kids school tomorrow!

Painted these tulips from the setup see the picture below.  I am so inspired by the motion in this arrangement!  I had fun and tried to keep it loose.  

Refresh my Heart

 

I was thinking of Valentines when I painted this!  It is a larger painting then I normally post on the Daily Paintworks but I thought it would be good for this time of year!  

The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.

Babushka

So I finally got up the courage to paint this cute little babushka and I quite like the result!  I must paint more.  Too darn cute.  I hope you have a great weekend!

Warmth

Where do you get your inspiration for a painting a day?  I was thinking about warmth when I painted these flowers I bought from trader joes the other day.  Sometimes it's more complex than that but for today that was it!   Hope you have a wonderful time at the easel today!

Touch of Sunshine

Sometimes I like a challenge!  I painted this in Quang Hiang's class at Scottsdale

Artists School.  I had a good friend in from Canada painting with me so it really was a great time.  

I painted lots of details in the pot at first then decided to scrape them off.  It became a major distraction!

Hello,  I am back!  Really loved my class with Qaing Haung, a fellow daily painter @ Scottsdale artists school.  I am looking forward to getting more time to paint next 

week!  Try some new things out!
